As part of Paris Photo 2026’s celebration of the photography medium’s bicentennial, the fair will feature a prominent installation of work by Thomas Ruff, in a retrospective hanging in collaboration with five galleries: David Zwirner, Konrad Fischer, MAI 36, Lia Rumma, and Sprüth Magers.
Concurrently, from November 13—February 6, 2027 at David Zwirner Los Angeles, there will be an exhibition, Thomas Ruff: In Series, 1979–2024, that surveys Ruff’s production spanning over four decades of his career from 1979 to 2024, highlighting the multiplicity of procedures he deploys to create his photographs.
