The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam presents the third and final leg of a major traveling retrospective of Yayoi Kusama, one of the most influential and innovative artists of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The exhibition presents more than seventy years of her groundbreaking oeuvre. Diverse disciplines are featured: painting, sculpture, installations, drawings, fashion, collages, and happenings.
Yayoi Kusama highlights how the artist has inspired a global impact with her groundbreaking art for decades. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Fondation Beyeler outside Basel (where it was on view from October 2025 to January 2026) and the Museum Ludwig in Cologne (on view from March to August 2026).
