'Nate Lowman in Conversation’ by Dan Cameron
2026

Of them all, perhaps the most personal and profound is a memory from a fashion show in which he glimpsed a key-spangled dress made by his late friend, Benjamin Cho. On the occasion of Lowman’s exhibition at David Zwirner, the artist met with Dan Cameron to discuss his early life in California, the stories behind some of his new paintings, and what it means to make an artwork not only as a tribute, but as a way of learning.
