In connection with the new production of Lincoln in the Bardo, as part of the Gallery Met initiative, the Metropolitan Opera has unveiled a banner by artist Elizabeth Peyton on the opera house’s facade, based on Abraham Lincoln (1860 Before Cooper Union) (2004). Peyton previously created banners for productions of Don Carlos, Manon Lescaut, and Die Walküre.
The project is curated by Dodie Kazanjian, director of Gallery Met at the Metropolitan Opera.
