Following the Artycapucines debut collection in 2019, Louis Vuitton has invited six international artists, including Josh Smith, to customize a Capucine bag for its second edition.  

Recalling his signature “name” paintings, Smith has printed and embroidered his first name across the bag. The bag’s inner lining is printed with Palm #3, 2019, another of Smith’s brightly colored paintings that was last shown at Emo Jungle, the artist’s inaugural solo presentation with the gallery. A wooden handle and ten silver staples enclose the bag’s outer shell, mimicking the edges of an artist’s canvas. Each bag is limited to two hundred pieces and will be available in select stores worldwide beginning October 30.
