Wilhelm-Hack-Museum, Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany
April 26–September 20, 2026
The Wilhelm-Hack-Museum presents for the first time all the record, CD, and cassette covers with motifs by Raymond Pettibon from 1979 to the present. With over 200 works, all on loan from the Stefan Thull Collection, the exhibition comprehensively depicts this enduring aspect of Pettibon’s artistic oeuvre.
The exhibition is curated by Dr. Astrid Ihle and accompanied by a richly illustrated catalog published by Wilhelm-Hack-Museum and David Zwirner Books. It includes essays by Max Dax, Robert Eikmeyer, Kim Gordon and Ulrich Loock, as well as a catalogue raisonné of Pettibon’s album artwork. Explore the catalog.
