Museum of Art Pudong, Shanghai, China
June 17–October 2026
The Museum of Art Pudong presents the largest Giorgio Morandi exhibition of the century. Planned in collaboration with the Museo Morandi in Bologna, Italy, the exhibition will showcase over 120 works from 39 international institutions and collectors, many appearing in China for the first time. Visitors can explore Morandi’s full artistic range—from still lifes and landscapes to rare self-portraits, family portraits, shell paintings, and metaphysical works—across over thirty thematic sections. The exhibition also features Morandi’s original studio objects, personal items, letters, and photographs, offering an intimate look into his daily life and creative process. The exhibition is curated by the director of the Morandi Museum and supported by the Italian Consulate in Shanghai.
