La Cuadra, Mexico City, Mexico
February 8, 2026–April 5, 2026
La Cuadra presents an exhibition of works by Felix Gonzalez-Torres curated by Pablo León de la Barra. The exhibition proposes a poetic dialogue and an imagined encounter between the work of Felix González-Torres and the architectural spaces of Luis Barragán at La Cuadra, built in 1968 as private stables on the outskirts of Mexico City and one of the architect's most emblematic works.
This exhibition is the first solo presentation of González-Torres's work in Mexico City since his exhibition at the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo in 2010 and, previously, at the Museo Rufino Tamayo in 1998. González-Torres's work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions in Mexico City, including projects at Ninart Centro de Cultura, Centro Cultural Arte Contemporáneo, Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, Museo Jumex, Museo Universitario de Ciencias y Arte, Casa del Lago, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Galería Mascota, and kurimanzutto.
