In his Berlin studio in the heart of Kreuzberg, overlooking one of those vacant lots for which the city (still) holds a secret, Wolfgang Tillmans has installed a model of the former Beaubourg Public Information Library (BPI), so large that it literally overflows the room. We strolled, our feet between the Carton Plume walls, among the meticulously pinned miniature works. All around, the studio's shelves are filled with books and vinyl records. Seashells sit on a windowsill.
