Join Jarrett Earnest and the art historian, curator, and critic Kenneth Silver for a conversation celebrating the publication of The Young and Evil. Silver’s writings, among them his landmark Esprit de Corps: The Art of the Parisian Avant-Garde and the First World War, 1914-1915 and “Modes of Disclosure: The Construction of Gay Identity of Pop Art” (both 1992), deeply influenced Earnest’s approach to curating The Young and Evil, as well as editing the accompanying book. The two will discuss the evolution of queer representation and consider strategies for writing, thinking, and exhibiting alternative art histories.
