Following her show at David Zwirner New York, Babie Brood: Small Paintings 1985-2018, Lisa Yuskavage sat down to discuss her fascination with the printmaking process and the direct relationship her prints have to her paintings.
Yuskavage has been collaborating with master printers at ULAE since 2001. Her eye for color and inventive techniques have pushed the boundaries of contemporary printmaking as she continues to challenge the studio and explore imagery in a myriad of technical processes. Yuskavage describes printmaking as "the perfect medium" to experiment with material, and she finds inspiration in looking at other artists' prints and their progressive states as she constantly questions and considers every component of the print.Learn more about Lisa Yuskavage’s prints at ULAE.
