Live from New York, it’s Miami Art Basel: beginning Wednesday, December 2, we will debut MiamiNY on davidzwirner.com, upon the occasion of Art Basel’s OVR: Miami Beach.  This new hybrid online and offline presentation will consist of the gallery’s fair artworks being installed in David Zwirner’s gallery spaces in New York and on Wednesday, December 2, davidzwirner.com will host public interactive livestreaming sessions with the gallery’s directors discussing and taking questions about the artworks on view.  The livestream walkthrough and Q&A schedule for Wednesday, December 2 is as follows:  12PM EST | Senior Partners Kristine Bell and Bellatrix Hubert 2PM EST | Partners Branwen Jones and David Leiber 3PM EST | Directors Kyla McMillan and Thor Shannon

This new hybrid of the brick-and-mortar and digital aims to emulate the experience of a collector, future collector, or art enthusiast engaging with a gallery director at a physical fair. During these livestream talks, directors will physically be with the works they are speaking about and able to take questions from the audience. While the works will be installed in David Zwirner’s New York galleries in viewing rooms, and are being live streamed and presented online, private appointments are available to our New York-based audience. These sessions will also be livestreamed concurrently on Art Basel’s website on David Zwirner’s fair page.  In addition to the livestreaming sessions on December 2, MiamiNY will exist as an online viewing room (https://www.davidzwirner.com/viewing-room) on the gallery’s website and Art Basel’s website, from December 2 to 6.  The presentation will feature works by Ruth Asawa (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/ruth-asawa), Carol Bove (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/carol-bove), Njideka Akunyili Crosby (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/njideka-akunyili-crosby), Noah Davis (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/noah-davis), Marcel Dzama (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/marcel-dzama), Dan Flavin (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/dan-flavin), Suzan Frecon (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/suzan-frecon), Donald Judd (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/donald-judd), Yayoi Kusama (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/yayoi-kusama), Liu Ye (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/liu-ye), Nate Lowman (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/nate-lowman), John McCracken (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/john-mccracken), Joan Mitchell (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/joan-mitchell), Oscar Murillo (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/oscar-murillo), Raymond Pettibon (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/raymond-pettibon), Ad Reinhardt (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/ad-reinhardt), Bridget Riley (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/bridget-riley), Dana Schutz (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/dana-schutz), Josh Smith (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/josh-smith), Jordan Wolfson (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/jordan-wolfson), and Lisa Yuskavage (https://www.davidzwirner.com/artists/lisa-yuskavage).  MiamiNY is David Zwirner’s third Art Basel Miami Beach online presentation, which has continually evolved with each iteration.
