On the occasion of Breakthrough: Prints from ULAE at David Zwirner, New York, this online presentation features a selection of new and recent prints published by Universal Limited Art Editions (ULAE), including their latest releases.   Works by by Marina Adams, Joe Bradley, Sarah Crowner, Amy Cutler, Charline von Heyl, Wyatt Kahn, Sam Moyer, Martin Puryear, and Julia Rommel highlight the publisher’s ongoing collaborations. Guided by the legacy of its pioneering founder, Tatyana Grosman, ULAE maintains a singular focus on artists and an intimate workshop environment, inspiring generations of artists to make their first prints.

Today, ULAE maintains the sense of community and collaborative spirit associated with the workshop since its founding. The studio hosts one artist any given day to ensure that each artist is given the printers’ full attention. Staff, artists, visiting collectors, curators, and writers regularly enjoy communal, home-cooked lunches together, as was the tradition in Grosman’s time. Former director Bill Goldston and current director Larissa Goldston's vision and determination, along with the dedication of veteran artists and printers, sustain Grosman's memory as a new generation of artists invigorates the workshop.
