Huma Bhabha / Alberto Giacometti

Publisher: Editions Fage

Publication Date: 2026

Edited by Emilie Bouvard. Translated by Catherine Petit, Paul Buck, and Dennis Collins

Huma Bhabha has been asserting her keen interest in Alberto Giacometti’s work for a long time. The figures she makes are charged with a vigor, an energy at times intense, a sensibility which, in many respects, is in dialogue with those of the Swiss sculptor. In this book, recent as well as early works by Bhabha are shown, not without humor, alongside icons such as Giacometti’s The Leg (1958) and Walking Man I (1960).

This catalogue accompanies an exhibition presented at the Institut Giacometti from February 6 to May 24, 2026.
