Marcel Dzama and Raymond Pettibon: THE UPPER ROOM: Let us compare mythologies
This exhibition presents new works from an ongoing collaboration between Marcel Dzama and Raymond Pettibon. On view in THE UPPER ROOM at David Zwirner in London, Let us compare mythologies followed the artists' first collaborative exhibition Forgetting the Hand, which was on view at David Zwirner in New York in January 2016.
Coinciding with the London exhibition, David Zwirner Books published a new zine produced in close collaboration with the artists. A fold-out poster of a mural-size work—the artist's largest work to date—accompanies the zine. Begun in the summer of 2015, the results of Dzama and Pettibon's collaboration first appeared in a zine published for Printed Matter's 2015 New York Art Book Fair at MoMA PS1. An expanded second edition of the zine was printed for the opening of Forgetting the Hand, which included additional works and a text by poet Andrew Durbin.
