Opening on Wednesday, December 14 the gallery will present an exhibition of recent photographs and objects by New York-based artist Kevin Landers. This will be the artist's first one-person exhibition in the United States.
In his work, Kevin Landers embraces life in New York. His idiosyncratic vision touches the people, the places, as well as peculiarities of life in the Big Apple with a specific empathy for the microcosm of the Lower East Side. In his photographs and his objects, Landers succeeds in combining the highly familiar with the unusual. His exploration of urban phenomena helps transform our own perception and experience of the urban reality around us, making us take a second look. He also achieves a very unusual feat – through his eyes the city becomes more beautiful in a very unsuspecting way.
