David Zwirner is pleased to open 52 Walker, a new David Zwirner gallery programmed by Ebony L. Haynes, in October. The inaugural exhibition will present works by Kandis Williams (b. 1985) whose versatile practice spans collage, performance, video, assemblage, and installation. Her work interrogates critical theory—addressing issues of race, nationalism, authority, and eroticism. Williams, who currently lives and works in Los Angeles, will be in residence in New York while creating the new work for her upcoming solo exhibition.
